El Proyecto “Enseñanza Efectiva del Inglés como Lengua Extranjera “surge de la necesidad de derrotar el paradigma que los estudiantes de las Instituciones oficiales del país no desarrollan habilidades comunicativas en el idioma Inglés. 

La Institución Educativa San Antonio de Padua de Timbío Cauca Colombia América Latina con este proyecto coordinado por la docente María Estella Chicangana Solano, ha demostrado que los jóvenes que estudian o son egresados de una Institución oficial pueden llegar a hablar Inglés, rompiendo con la creencia generalizada que esto no es posible, esta docente con su trabajo lleno de motivación y pasión ha logrado esto en un proceso difícil y arduo con el apoyo importante de hablantes nativos del idioma Inglés de diferentes países tales como Australia, Canada, Estados Unidos y Escocia.

Este proyecto ha tenido éxito al lograr que los estudiantes sean capaces de comunicarse a su nivel en Inglés con sus compañeros, con el docente y con hablantes nativos del idioma Inglés que participan en las clases con frecuencia. 

Este proyecto incluye las siguientes actividades: Clase en Inglés, Hablantes Nativos del Idioma Inglés en clase, Periódico Mural Bilingüe, Programas de radio, televisión y videos en Inglés, Exámenes de Inglés, Entrenamiento para las pruebas ICFES y las de Admisión en las universidades.

PROJECT “EFFECTIVE ENGLISH TEACHING AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE”

This Project come out of the need to debunk the common belief that state high schools students in this country can not acquire communicative skills in the English language.

San Antonio de Padua High School from Timbio, Cauca in Colombia (Latin America) with this Project coordinated by the teacher María Estella Chicangana Solano has shown that the young people who study or graduate in Colombian state schools can be skillful in speaking English, changing the general idea about the impossibility of this. This teacher with very motivated and devoted work has achieved this in a very difficult and hard process with the important support of native speakers of the English language from different countries such as Australia, Canada, the United States and Scotland

This work had been successful in getting the students to be able to communicate at their English level with their classmates, with the teacher and with native speakers of English who often participate in the English class.

This project includes the following activities: Class in English, English Native Speakers in Class, Bilingual Newspaper, English radio, TV programs and videos, English Club, Placement tests, ICFES and University Entrance tests training.
